Consumer Description
IN AUGUST, 2014 WHILE DRIVING ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH AND LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE DUE TO ELECTRIC POWER ASSISTED STEERING (EPAS) SYSTEM FAILURE. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A FORD DEALER FOR REPAIR AND THE REPAIR COST WAS $936.39. IN MARCH, 2015 THE SAME THING HAPPENED AND FORD CLAIMS THEY HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR REPAIR OF THE EPAS. THIS EPAS SYSTEM IS DEFECTIVE AND UNSAFE AND FORD SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE AND ACCOUNTABLE. MANY OTHER MODELS WITH THE SAME EPAS SYSTEM HAVE BEEN RECALLED AND THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION HAS OPENED AN INVESTIGATION ON OCTOBER , 2014 FOR THE 2012 FUSION LED BY JEFFREY L.
