Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS EXTREMELY LOOSE; HOWEVER, THE KEY WOULD REMAIN SECURE IN THE CYLINDER. THE FAILURE BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND THE PART NEEDED WAS UNAVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
