TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BMW X3. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO OVERHEAT AND STALLED CAUSING THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE THERMOSTAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
