Consumer Description

THE PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF LIGHT COMES ON WITH A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER TWICE ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THE SERVICE REP. HAS SEEN THE AIRBAG LIGHT OFF LIGHT ON WITH MY WIFE SITTING THE PASSENGER SEAT. THE DEALER SERVICE DEPT. CHECKED THE "SYSTEM" AND SAID IT CHECKED OUT !! THERE IS NOTHING MORE WE CAN DO. I CONSIDER THIS UNACCEPTABLE AND A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. CAN FORD OR THE DEALER BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF THE BAG FAILS TO DEPLOY AND SOMEONE IS HURT OR KILLED. WHY IS THIS NOT A RECALL ITEM? *TR
