Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE IDLED ROUGHLY, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 07V521000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,000.
