Consumer Description

A WEEK AFTER PURCHASING THE 2008 JEEP PATRIOT FROM A USED CAR DEALERSHIP THE JEEP STALLED AFTER FILLING UP THE TANK. I CALLED THE DEALER AND HE SAID TO PUT DRY GAS IN THE TANK. I DID AND THE JEEP WOULD JERK A FEW TIMES AFTER REFUELING. ON 1/14/15 THE JEEP STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY STREET MINUTES AFTER MY 17 YEAR OLD FILLED THE TANK. THANK GOD SHE DID NOT GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SINCE THE JEEP STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. I TOOK THE JEEP TO MY MECHANIC BUT HE COULDN'T IDENTIFY THE ISSUE. I KNOW THERE ARE JEEP OWNERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE MANUFACTURER IS DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT. PLEASE INVESTIGATE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS INTO A FATAL ACCIDENT. *TR
