Consumer Description

MY DAUGHTER ALMOST DIED DRIVING IT ON MONDAY. SHE WAS ON ROUTE 1 IN COLLEGE PARK, MD WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE/REDUCED POWER LIGHT CAME ON AND SHE COULD GO NO MORE THAN 2-3 MPH. THIS IS A VERY BUSY ROAD, AND SHE WAS ALMOST IN A POTENTIALLY TRAGIC ACCIDENT. WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO SPORT CHEVROLET IN SILVER SPRING, MD (240-471-3190). OUR SERVICE ADVISOR ([XXX]:) INFORMED ME THIS MORNING THAT THE FIX IS A THROTTLE BODY REPLACEMENT WHICH WILL COST $648. IN GOING ON THE CHEVY FORUM WEBSITE, THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES TO CHEVY CRUZE AND MALIBU MODELS. IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL SOMEONE DIES.
