Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LINCOLN MKX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V682000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS CORRODED AND LEAKING FUEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER INFORMED THAT THE PART WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL OCTOBER OF 2015. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
