Consumer Description

ME AND MY WIFE BOUGHT A NEW 2014 DODGE RAM 1500 HEMI SPORT TRUCK WE HAVE HAD THIS NEW TRUCK FOR ABOUT FIVE WEEKS NOW. AND WAS AT WALMART ON MONDAY 11/24/2014 IN MCMINNVILLE TN. WE HAD JUST GOTTEN BACK INTO THE TRUCK AND STARTED THE TRUCK. AFTER STARTING THE TRUCK I TURNED THE SHIFTER KNOB DIAL ON THE DASH INTO REVERSE. THEN I NOTICED THAT THE BACKUP CAMERA DIDN'T COME ON. THE RADIO SCREEN STAYED ON. SO I WIGGLED THE DIAL AND PUT IT BACK INTO PARK. AND LET OFF THE BRAKE AND PUT IT INTO DRIVE AND PULLED BACK INTO THE PARKING SPACE. THEN SHUT THE TRUCK OFF. I THEN WAITED TEN MINUTES BEFORE I RESTARTED THIS TRUCK. TURNED THE SHIFTER KNOB AGAIN INTO R-REVERSE, BACKUP CAMERS DID NOT COME ON AGAIN. BUT WAS TO START BACKING OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE. AFTER BACKING OUT ABOUT 4 TO 5 FEET, THE CAMERA CAME ON AS I WAS TURNING THE DIAL FRONR TO N THEN TO D. I AM GOING TO TAKE THE TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALERS AFTER THANKSGIVING AND LET THEM FIGURE IT OUT. IF THEY CAN AND I AM GOING TO CONTACT THR DODGE/ CHYRSLER FACTORY BEFORE SOMEONE GETS RUN OVER ,THINKING THE TRUCK IS IN PARK BUT IS STILL IN REVERSE. *JS
