Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE CONTACT SMELLED SMOKE AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW OPENED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE WINDOW CONTROL ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS MELTING DOWN INTO THE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 173,000.
