Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD F-150. AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE FUEL PUMP STRAP AND FRAME WERE CORRODED. ALSO, THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS DETACHED AND LEAKING FUEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V385000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE), BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 171,000.
