Consumer Description

WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED LATE SUMMER 2013. UPON HAVING THE VEHICLE INSPECTED WE DISCOVERED THAT BOTH REAR COIL SPRINGS WERE BROKEN. WE WERE TOLD BY MULTIPLE RESOURCES THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH BMW. WE REPLACED THE SPRINGS. I WANT TO KNOW WHY THIS IS NOT A RECALL. OTHER BRAND/MODELS WITH CRACKED/BROKEN REAR COIL SPRINGS HAVE HAD RECALLS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. HIGH SPEED CORNERING COULD CAUSE SPRINGS TO SEPARATE FROM VEHICLE. *TR
