Consumer Description

DRIVING THE CAR AT FREEWAY SPEEDS PRIOR TO TAKING THE EXIT. WHEN WE TOOK THE EXIT, THERE WAS A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO OVER 1000 RPM. THE VEHICLE WAS LIMPED TO THE SHOULDER WHERE IT DIED AND WOULD NOT RESTART. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE MECHANIC SHOP WHERE THEY ARE IN THE PROCESS OF REPAIRS. THE VW IS EQUIPPED WITH A 2.0L TDI ENGINE AND I HAVE READ MULTIPLE OTHER REPORTS OF THE SAME ISSUES OCCURRING INVOLVING THE HPFP FAILING. *TR
