Consumer Description

MY 2005 FORD TAURUS EXPERIENCED SUDDEN ACCELERATION LAST NIGHT WHEN I WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT. THE ENGINE REVVED UP TO ABOUT 4,000 RPM AND I HAD TO APPLY THE BRAKES TO TRY AND KEEP THE CAR FROM SPEEDING UP. I WAS ABLE TO PARK THE CAR AND TURN IT OFF. WHEN I STARTED IT AGAIN, IN PARK, THE ENGINE IMMEDIATELY SPED UP TO ABOUT 4,000 RPM AGAIN, WITH NO PRESSURE ON THE GAS PEDAL. WHEN I TAPPED THE GAS PEDAL, THE ENGINE SLOWED BACK DOWN TO NORMAL. I HAVE NOT TRIED TO DRIVE IT AGAIN SINCE THEN. *TR
