Consumer Description

WHILE TRYING TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY AT AROUND 40 TO 50 MPH THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND STARTED TO HESITATE. THE RPMS WENT UP BUT THE SHIFT DID NOT HAPPEN FOR MANY SECONDS LATER AND WITH A LOUD CLUNK WHEN IT DID SHIFT AND THEN WE WOULD ACCELERATE AND IT WOULD MAKE A SOUND AGAIN AND DOWN SHIFT. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO DEALER AND THEY DO NOT FIND ANY PROBLEM. AFTER READING ON THE INTERNET OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR 2008 FORD EDGE AWD LIMITED, I CANNOT BELIEVE THERE IS NOT A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM. *JS
