Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE SEIZED. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO TURN ON THE HAZARD LIGHTS AND ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND COASTED ONTO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND RESUMED NORMAL OPERATIONS. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON THREE OCCASIONS. THERE WERE NO DIAGNOSTIC TEST PERFORMED NOR WAS THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
