Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET MALIBU. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER BECAME STUCK IN PARK AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SUDDENLY ROLL IN REVERSE. THE CONTACT HAD TO ENGAGE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. ALSO, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START WHILE THE SHIFTER WAS STUCK IN THE PARK POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 14V224000 (POWER TRAIN). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
