Consumer Description

THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL ON MY DODGE PICKUP - SAFETY RECALL NUMBER N62 / NHTSA 13V-528. THE RECALL NOTICE WAS FOR A LEFT TIE ROD AND ISSUED IN JANUARY 2014. REPORTED CALLS TO MULTIPLE DODGE DEALERSHIPS HAVE NOT BEEN PRODUCTIVE SINCE THEY ALL REPEATEDLY STATE THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE REPAIR. MY TRUCK'S FRONT END NOW SHAKES AND MAKES A LOUD NOISE AS WELL AS THE STEERING WANDERS AND IS NOT SAFE. I HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE BUT TO TAKE THE TRUCK TO A PRIVATE SHOP TO GET THE TRUCK FIXED AS IT IS A SEVERE SAFETY HAZARD AND IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND I NEED TO USE THE VEHICLE AS IT IS MY ONLY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION. THEY STATED THAT THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE ME FOR THE WORK AND WERE NOT AMENABLE TO TRAVEL A FEW MILES TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO EXPERIENCE THE ISSUES, FOR WHICH THEY STILL DON'T HAVE PARTS TO FIX. CALLS TO DEALERSHIPS AND TO DODGE HAVE NOT PROVED FRUITFUL; THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT CONSUMER SAFETY OR INCONVENIENCES. I WANT TO BE REPAID FOR THE WORK THAT IS TO BE PERFORMED TO MAKE THE VEHICLE SAFE AGAIN. *TR
