Consumer Description

I RECEIVED MY FIRST RECALL NOTICE FOR THE DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE OVER SIX MONTHS AGO AND CONTACTED JEEP OF PARAMUS NEW JERSEY TO SCHEDULE THE REPLACEMENT PARTS TO BE INSTALLED. I WAS TOLD THE REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER AND I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL WHEN THEY COME IN. I HAVE CALLED EVERY MONTH FOR OVER SIX MONTHS TO OBTAIN AN UPDATE ON THESE PARTS. IN THE MEANTIME,I HAVE RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE. I CALLED JEEP PARAMUS TODAY TO CHECK THE STATUS OF THE PARTS AND WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE TO WAIT AT LEAST ANOTHER THREE MONTHS. IN THE RECALL LETTER, IT CLEARLY STATES THAT SHOULD THE DEFECTED TUBE LEAK, IT CAN CAUSE MAJOR DAMAGE AND POSSIBLY A CRASH. THIS IS VERY TERRIFYING AND DISTURBING TO ME THAT IF THIS PART CAN CAUSE DEATH, WHY IS THE COMPANY NOT TAKING THIS MATTER SERIOUSLY. I DRIVE MY CAR EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR WORK AND PERSONAL USE. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE AND I WOULD LIKE IMMEDIATE ACTION TO BE TAKEN ON THIS MATTER. PLEASE ADVISE ME OF MY RIGHTS AND WHAT ACTIONS THAT I CAN TAKE TO RECTIFY THIS MATTER IMMEDIATELY.
