Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HE NOTICED THAT TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HE RECEIVED A NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V234000 (POWER TRAIN , STEERING) AND WAS AWAITING FOR THE PARTS TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBER CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE POWER STEERING RETURN TUBE WHICH CAUSED THE LEAK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
