Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD EXPLORER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT NO PARTICULAR SPEED, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED INTO 4-WHEEL DRIVE WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE AND AT OTHER SPEEDS ON DIFFERENT HIGHWAYS. . THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY OVER A ONE YEAR SPAN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHERE THE FRONT WHEEL BEARING WAS REPLACED, BUT IT DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. UPDATED 6/10/14*CN
