Consumer Description

MY CAR WAS PURCHASED USED IN 2009. I'VE KEPT UP WITH THE MAINTENANCE AND OTHER ISSUES SUCH AS THE ENGINE COILS GOING OUT. TODAY, MY CAR STOPPED AS I WAS DRIVING ON A BUSY STREET. NO, THERE WASN'T A CRASH BUT THERE COULD HAVE BEEN. THE CAR IS A 2007. LUCKILY I STOPPED IN FRONT OF THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. I FOUND OUT THAT MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. IT WENT OUT WITH NO WARNING PRIOR TO TODAY. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD COST $4200 TO REPAIR. I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY. I'M STILL SHOCKED THAT THE TRANSMISSION DIED. I PURCHASED A TOYOTA BECAUSE MY PREVIOUS CAR, A CHEVY, WAS GIVING ME SO MANY PROBLEMS. WHEN ASKED WHY WOULD IT JUST DIE WITHOUT WARNING...I WAS TOLD IT JUST DID. THERE'S NO WAY OF KNOWING. I'M NOT UNDERSTANDING THAT WHEN I GO FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE. *TR
