Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT INTO PARK. THE CONTACT DISASSEMBLED THE GEAR SHIFT ASSEMBLY TO FIND THAT THE PIN BECAME DETACHED. THE CONTACT PLACED THE PIN BACK IN POSITION AND WAS ABLE TO SHIFT INTO PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
