Consumer Description

I WAS DRIVING DOWN US 281(BUSY 3 LANE HIGHWAY) IN SAN ANTONIO AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF CAUSING ME TO COAST TO A STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. ONCE I GOT OFF OF THE ROAD, THE ENGINE STARTED UP LIKE NOTHING WAS WRONG. AFTER I INSPECTED THE FLUIDS AND SAW EVERYTHING CHECKED OUT, I GOT BACK ON THE HIGHWAY ONLY TO HAVE THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AGAIN. I CALLED FORD TO SEE IF THERE WAS AN ISSUE REPORTED OR A RECALL, AND THERE WAS NOTHING. I FOUND OVER 300 COMPLAINTS ON VARIOUS FORUMS BY TYPING IN --2006 F150 FAILSAFE--IN THE SEARCH ENGINE. I THINK THIS IS A REAL SAFETY ISSUE THAT FORD NEEDS TO ADDRESS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED ON THE ROAD. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR
