Consumer Description

THE FOLLOWING HAPPENED ONLY AFTER RECALL. RESEARCH SEEMS TO INDICATE IT IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO RECALL. BRIEF DISPLAY OF "SERVICE 4 WHEEL DRIVE" AFTER RECALL N23/NHTSA 13V-175. IT WENT OUT THEN ON FEBRUARY 3, 2014 IT DISPLAYED SAME MESSAGE AGAIN REPEATEDLY. ON FEBRUARY 17, 2014 I TRIED TO PUT VEHICLE IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE NEUTRAL AND IT WOULD NOT SHIFT ONLY DISPLAYED "SERVICE 4 WHEEL DRIVE". AS I DO NOT USE THIS SYSTEM WEEKLY DURING TIMES OF BAD WEATHER (I STAY HOME) I WAS NOT AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. I BELIEVED THAT THE SERVICE REMINDER MESSAGE WAS FOR THE FLUID CHANGE THAT HAD BEEN DONE AT TIME OF THE RECALL AT MY EXPENSE AND JUST HAD NOT BEEN PROPERLY RESET. I WAS UNAWARE IT WAS A WARNING OF SYSTEM FAILURE. *TR
