Consumer Description

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT THE DEALER FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE TWO MOTOR MOUNTS (FRONT AND SIDE/RIGHT) WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE (OR PRETEND TO BE NOT AWARE OF IT). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95000. IT SEEMS THAT THE ENGINE MOUNT ISSUE WITH THE HONDA ODYSSEY SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO. AFTER SCROLLING THRU THE PAGES OF COMPLAINTS I NOTICED THERE WAS A COMPLAINT ON EVERY PAGE. THIS LOOK TO BE EITHER A CASH COW FOR LOCAL DEALERS OR A HONDA DEFECT. CAN NHTSA PROTECT US? PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO HELP US. IF YOU CAN'T HELP WOULD WE BE BETTER OFF CALLING A CONGRESSMAN? *TR
