TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE SITTING IN THE PARKED VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE AND DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
