Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE FRONT END SHOOK VIOLENTLY. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE WHEEL WAS CUPPING AND THE TIRE WAS WEARING UNEVENLY. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V528000 (STEERING). THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR AND WOULD NOT BECOME AVAILABLE UNTIL APRIL 2014. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 158,000.
