TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE DRIVER HEARD A LOUD POP FROM THE VEHICLE AND EXPERIENCED A POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE. THE VEHICLE VEERED OFF ROAD AND ROLLED INTO A FIELD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE INCIDENT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 175000.
