Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE ERRONEOUSLY ACCELERATED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE ACCELERATION FAILURE AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT AND THE THREE OCCUPANTS OF THE SECOND VEHICLE SUSTAINED BACK AND NECK INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE ACCELERATION FAILURE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 179,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
