Consumer Description
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 60 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, AND THE ENGINE STOPPED. I COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, AND TURNED OFF THE KEY TO RESET THE ALARM CODE. THE CAR STARTED AND DROVE NORMALLY FOR ABOUT 2 MILES, THEN THE ENGINE STOPPED AGAIN. WITHIN 5 MILES THE CAR WOULD BARELY RUN AT ALL, THE ENGINE WAS MIS-FIRING AND CLUNKING ALONG AT 2 MPH AND STALLING EVERY FEW FEET. I HAD NO PREVIOUS INDICATIONS OF A PROBLEM. THE CAR WAS RUNNING FINE, AND THEN WITHIN 5 MILES IT WAS COMPLETELY UN-DRIVABLE. THE PROBLEM WAS FAILURE OF THE THROTTLE BODY, COST $525 TO REPAIR.
