Consumer Description

THE CAM PHAZOR USED IN THE 2013 FORD ESCAPE VARIABLE VALVE TIMING SYSTEM FAILED AFTER ONLY ONE WEEK AND 750 MILES. WE NOTICED THE VEHICLE WAS HARD TO START, IDLED ROUGH, AND HESITATED. THIS IS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE. WE PURCHASED THIS CAR IN EAST TENNESSEE ON JULY 4, 2013, AND IT WAS IN THE SHOP A WEEK LATER FOR A MAJOR ENGINE REPAIR. SO GLAD IT DID NOT BREAK DOWN ON THE INTERSTATE AND LEAVE US STRANDED, BUT THE POTENTIAL IS THERE IF FORD HAS A BAD BATCH OF CAM PHAZORS ON 2013 FORD ESCAPES. *TR
