Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE NITRO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER'S SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS ERRONEOUSLY DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT HAD FAILED AND CAUSED THE AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 74,000.
