TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHEVROLET IMPALA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 09V116000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) FOR THE SPARK PLUG RETENTION WIRE, WHICH HAD NOT BEEN COMPLETED. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE DEFECT WAS WHAT CAUSED THE FIRE. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THAT THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE UNDER THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 130,000. *TR
