Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 FORD TAURUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND TO ACCELERATION WHILE IN DRIVE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE TORQUE CONVERTER WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT DID NOT HAVE THE TORQUE CONVERTER REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER BUT THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE TO THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000.
