Consumer Description
AFTERMARKET AUTOMOTIVE RIMS FAILED AFTER APPROXIMATELY 30 DAYS OF NORMAL DRIVING. MODA MD9 OR MD9610 WERE LISTED AS A RECOMMENDED WINTER DRIVING RIM BY A LARGE ONLINE RETAILER OUT OF SOUTH BEND INDIANA. AFTER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME NOTICED STRONG VIBRATION ISSUES. AN APPROVED TIRE INSTALLER REVIEWED THE RIMS AND STATED ALL 4 RIMS WERE EGG SHAPED AND COULD NOT BE BALANCED. RIM RUNOUT SPECS OUT OF RANGE. EGG SHAPED CONDITION CREATES STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION AND AN UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITION. RETAILER THROUGH THEIR PRODUCT SUPPORT, DENIED ANY PRODUCT ISSUES AND STATED THE ONLY WAY WHEELS COULD HAVE DEFORMED WAS THROUGH ABNORMAL USE. ALL 4 RIMS HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH THE SAME MODEL AND HAVE FAILED IN THE SAME MANNER. ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT RIMS USED ON THIS HONDA ODYSSEY HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES OVER SEVERAL YEARS OF USE. FEEL THE PROBLEMS ARE DIRECTLY RELATED TO DEFECTIVE WHEELS OR RIMS. *TR
