Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE NITRO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55-60 MPH, THE HORN, WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND DOOR LOCKS ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO TURN ANY OF THE COMPONENTS OFF UNTIL THE BATTERY WAS DISCONNECTED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED BY A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS NO LONGER DRIVING THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
