Consumer Description

CAR PURCHASED 10/16/2003 WITH 15200 MILEAGE. LEFT REAR DOOR REGULATOR FAILED. THIS DOOR COULD NOT HAVE BEEN USED IN 9 YEARS MORE THAN 20-25 TIMES. DEALER, ROYAL CADILLAC, CHARGED $694.95 FOR REPLACEMENT. I COMPLAINED TO CADILLAC, REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT, AND THEY REFUSED. RESEARCH INDICATES THAT DOOR REGULATOR FAILURES ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL WERE WELL KNOWN AND PUBLISHED MANY YEARS AGO. GIVEN THE LITTLE USEAGE OF THIS DOOR (WE ARE SENIOR CITIZENS AND RARELY HAVE REAR SEAT PASSENDERS) I BELIEVE THIS DEFECT TO EXIST AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE.
