Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 09V073000 POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: LEVER AND LINKAGE: COLUMN SHIFT) PERFORMED, HOWEVER THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WAS SHIFT TO REVERSE AND PARK THE VEHICLE MOVED FORWARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSE THAT THE SHIFT CABLE GEAR SELECTOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 58,735.
