Consumer Description
BATTERY DISCONNECT FAILED WHILE DRIVING OUR 20,200 POUND RV AT HIGHWAY SPEED. THE FAILURE RESULTED IN TOTAL LOSS OF CHASSIS POWER (ENGINE STOPPED, POWER STEERING CEASED, POWER STEERING CEASED, ALL DASH INDICATORS NON-OPERATIONAL, EMERGENCY FLASHER NON-OPERATIONAL, ETC.). THE FAILURE CAUSED US TO COAST TO A STOP AS THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE WE COULD DO. THE FAILED PART WAS LATER IDENTIFIED AS: BATTERY DISCONNECT SOLENOID (INTELLITEC 01-00055-002 04098 BCC RELAY (PRINTED ON STICKER PLACED ON TOP PORTION OF UNIT), 612-12V 797 (PRINTED ON BOTTOM OF UNIT). THE BATTERY DISCONNECT SERVICE MANUAL, P/N 53-00066-100, REV B, 030905 FAILS TO LIST TOTAL LOSS OF POWER WHILE IN MOTION AS A POTENTIAL PROBLEM. *TR
