Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 ACURA MDX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION SHUTTERED WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TORQUE CONVERTER OR THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE HAD SINCE RECURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN AT 40 MPH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
