Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT THE ILLUMINATION OF THE WARNING INDICATORS. THE ENGINE RESTARTED AND THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DETECT A TROUBLE CODE OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS RELATED TO THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000. UPDATED 08-10-12 *BF
