Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2003 GMC ENVOY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ENGULFED INTO FLAMES WITHOUT WARNING. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DECLARED DESTROYED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 79,000.
