Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC ACADIA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A SEVERE WATER LEAK COMING FROM THE MOON/SUN ROOF AND INTO THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, CAUSING A SHORTAGE WITH ALL OF THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO REPLACED THE HEADLINER THAT SURROUNDED THE MOON/SUN ROOF AREA. THE REPLACEMENT DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY AN ENGINEERING FLAW AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOUR TIMES FOR REPAIRS. THE CONTACT FILED A CLAIM WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
