Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE WAS RECURRING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THERE WERE NO FAILURES WITHIN THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE STEERING GEAR BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER FOR THE PART AND WAS TOLD NOT TO PERFORM THE REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 18,700.
