MUFFLER DETACHED FROM EXHAUST SYSTEM AND REQUIRED REPLACEMENT. OTHER EXHAUST SYSTEM COMPONENTS VISIBLE UNDER THE CAR (INCLUDING CATALYTIC CONVERTERS) WERE OBSERVED TO BE RUSTY ENOUGH TO SUGGEST FUTURE PREMATURE FAILURE.
