Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, HE CRASHED HEAD ON INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A SWOLLEN HEAD, ABRASIONS AND BRUISING OF THE FOREHEAD, A CHIPPED TOOTH, AND A RIGHT SHOULDER INJURY. THE DEALER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER OPENED AN INVESTIGATION AND SENT AN INVESTIGATOR TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE AND THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING A RESPONSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 81,067. UPDATED 02/22/12*LJ THE DRIVER OF THE OTHER VEHICLE WAS ALSO INJURED. UPDATED 03.12.12
