TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE COULD BE SHIFTED OUT OF PARK EVEN WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS NOT DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A PIN WITHIN THE GEAR SHIFT MECHANISM WAS BENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000. UPDATED 01/10/12*LJ
