Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD EDGE. WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC STOP, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND THE ENGINE RPMS INCREASED DRASTICALLY, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS HESITANT TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY JERKED FORWARD WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TWICE BUT THE TECHNICIANS WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED FOUR TIMES INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
