Consumer Description

I WENT TO ROTATE THE TIRES ON MY 2010 FUSION AND I NOTICED ON THE FRONT LEFT THAT A WHEEL LUG STUD HAD SHEARED RIGHT INTO, ALWAYS HAD A DEALERSHIP ROTATE MY TIRES. I NOTICED THIS WHEN I WAS ROTATING MY TIRES AND THE REST OF THE LUG STUD IS INSIDE MY LUG NUT. I HAVE CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY CLAIM THEY KNOW OF NO INCIDENTS AND DOES NOT KNOW IF FORD WILL COVER IT. I THINK AFTER 280 REPORTED INCIDENTS THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL, I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE IN SOMETHING LIKE THIS BEING SO DANGEROUS THAT IT IS NOT ALREADY. I CAN SAY THIS WITH CERTAINTY, THAT AFTER THE FIRST REPORTED ACCIDENT CAUSED BY THIS AND THE LAWSUIT THAT FOLLOWS, SOMEONE WILL TAKE NOTICE. *KB
